Four times the standard dosage of tongkat ali extract
The information below has been provided by a subscriber to our domains and user of tongkat ali extract from North Sumatra. The name, email address, telephone number, and physical address of the author are known to us. If you are a journalist covering tongkat ali, or a scientific researcher, we can provide full contact details so that you can contact the author for further information as well as to verify the reported effects of tongkat ali.
Please note that a standard dosage of tongkat ali 1:50 extract is about 1 gram, and of 1:200 extract, it is about half a gram. Translated into teaspoon measures, a single dose of 1:50 extract is less than half a teaspoon, and a single dose of 1:200 is about a quarter of a teaspoon. The reader whose experience is given below used more than 4 times the recommended dosages and experienced the following symptoms: “The urine flow is wide open; sexual drive is up, genitalia are larger (almost like having a semi-erection without sexual arousal; testes much larger – almost like swollen, and are sensitive when my dose is high; have to be careful how I sit sometimes), mind is much clearer, have more energy, bone and joint pain is almost completely gone.”

“Sam, My osteopath (and I’m getting rid of him, because he isn’t into natural health, like a thought he might be) said that I was low on testosterone. As mentioned in an article in the latest issue of Life Extension, this can have very bad repercussions, including osteoporosis, heart attack, stroke and prostate cancer (although most doctors think that increasing testosterone can CAUSE cancer – relying on a MINORITY of research reports rather than the majority, as mentioned in Life Extension Magazine). Life Extension is a nonprofit organization that has a couple of boards made up of MDs who are on the cutting edge of life extension research and practice. Doctors are not really as a whole, up on the whole issue of testosterone and accept much lower levels of it for patients than they should. I became alarmed because my sleep cycle had been disturbed, my immune system had broken down (evidenced by my catching about 8 or 10 times the colds that I normally do, including accomanying prostatitis, prostate hypertrophy and resultant poor urine flow), my bones and joints started to ache a lot, my urine flow was beginning to ebb and flow (in waves, i.e., cyclical fluidic pressure amplitude) and my energy level, focus, concentration and mental sharpness had waned tremendously (not good for an engineering professor), I sent for 1:50 and 1:200 concentrations of TA. I didn’t have access to an accurate scale, so I started using about 2-3 heaping 1/4 teaspoons full of the “1:200″… The stuff REALLY WORKS! The urine flow is wide open; sexual drive is up, genitalia are larger (almost like having a semi-erection without sexual arousal; testes much larger – almost like swollen, and are sensitive when my dose is high; have to be careful how I sit sometimes), mind is much clearer, have more energy, bone and joint pain is almost completely gone… I am experiencing an intermittant sense of spontaneous joy and well being, sometimes breaking out in laughter for apparently no reason except that I just feel GREAT. I have a concern on “O-D’ing”. I thought that I read in some of your writings that one should take TA on a cycle, i.e., lay off of it for several days, but I can’t find what I thought you wrote on the web. Did I have that right? My concern is toxicity or “overdriving” the Leydig cells so that they “burn out”, like islet cells in the pancreas burn out, causing diabetes when people eat too much processed sugar over many years. I don’t want to set up any liver problems or burn out the Leydig cells. Is there a concern in that regard? Or, may any reasonable amount of TA be taken on a continual basis without a break? Also, if you happen to have a 1/4 teaspoon measure around could you tell me how many 1/4 teaspoons of 1:200 are equivalent to the 1 gram dose of 1:50?… Hope this email adds some useful info and insight to the anecdotal evidence of TA’s efficacy for general cardiovascular and prostate as well as sexual health.”
